PREPARATION FOR YOUR TATTOO
PRIOR to coming in for your tattoo
The way your tattoo heals is crucial to how it will look afterwards. Preparing for your tattoo prior to your tattoo appointment will ensure the very best opportunity for the tattoo to be applied easily and will aid greatly in how it will heal.
The area to be tattooed must be free from sun damage, cuts scrapes and irritation.
Stay out of the sun for at least a week prior to the tattoo, or apply sunblock to the intended area, if you must expose the area to the sun. Apply moisturizer for at least a few days prior to the appointment, but not the day of your tattoo appointment.
• NO Alcohol consumption for at least 2 days prior to your appointment day. Alcohol dehydrates the body and will impact how well your skin takes the tattoo.
• You want to be well hydrated so drink plenty of water on the days leading up to your tattoo.
• Make sure you are well rested and have eaten a full meal at least an hour before your appointment. If your appointment is for more than 4 hours bring a snack you can have during one of the breaks. This will keep your blood sugars up and allow you to sit for longer periods of time.
• Please bathe and wear comfortable clothing that will allow access to the area to be tattooed without struggling to hold your clothes out of the way.
Your tattoo will take time to apply so for your own comfort you may bring a large towel and pillow (that you don’t mind if it gets ink stains on it possibly) to the appointment. Our chairs are covered with plastic for your safety, so a towel may be more comfortable to sit/lay on.

OUT OF TOWN CLIENTS
Email and Video Consultations
Video Consults done through DISCORD or FaceTime

To get things rolling on a tattoo for a client that is not local or remote consultation.., there are certain procedures and information that I will need to go over with you to go forward from here..
All of these things are normally what I would go over with an "in-person" consultation, So we will have to handle it through email or per video..
1) I need a descriptive idea of what you want:
•) Do you have a drawing of the idea?
•) Do you have any references to show me?
If you sent references, Are they exactly what you want or just similar?
•) What style of art are you wanting? Traditional, Illustrative, Photo-realistic~ Show me examples~ the more I know of what you are liking, the closer
I can get to designing just what you want.
2) I need to know where you are wanting to get the tattoo:
•) Take a picture of the area (from straight on) use a sharpie marker to draw a line around the area you want the tattoo to be contained in
and send it to me.
•) size and location are two of the biggest factors to determine how long the tattoo will take.
3) Are you wanting Color or Black & Grey?
•) examples would be great, even if its a totally different subject matter.
4) When are you wanting to come in for the tattoo?
•) because you are coming in from out of area, you will need call the shop with a credit card or you must mail a money order to us to book time for your tattoo. The amount of the deposit is relative to the project. Between $100 and up to $500 for a whole day..Include your telephone number and our receptionist or artist will contact you after we receive it. WE CANNOT BOOK you until we receivethe deposit.
•) NO artwork will be generated or sent to you prior to receiving the deposit. All deposits are NON REFUNDABLE
5) What is your realistic budget for the tattoo?
•) My rate is $150 an hour, and I work on a strictly hourly basis. By knowing if there is a maximum of what you are looking to spend on the project, I won't create something beyond what you are comfortable with. I don't limit the art~You do, with consideration to budget and time, but the goal is to
create the best art for your tattoo!
•) Once I have an idea of design, size, placement location, coloration and style I can then estimate how much your tattoo might be.
** Please keep in mind that ANY price estimate is merely my best guess with all the factors given.. Final cost is hourly.
ALSO: IF you are coming into town and want to get work done while here, You WILL NOT be able to swim (submerge in water) or expose your tattoo to direct sunlight for 2 WEEKS after it is done. AND... I CANNOT tattoo you if the area is sunburned even a little... This will constitute a failure of preparation on your part and you will lose your deposit.
Let me know if you have any questions regarding this information.
